Take One Productions, a full-service media production company, is pleased to announce “Night of Shorts,” a film screening event featuring the works of up and coming filmmakers, on March 25th, 2023 at Ozone cinemas Yaba.
“Night of Shorts” is a showcase of the best works by young filmmakers in the industry, including films produced by Take One Productions. The event promises to be a great platform for young filmmakers to showcase their works and network with other industry professionals. “We are excited to host an event that will celebrate the creativity and innovation of our young filmmakers,” said Heavens Obule, the Head of Operations at Take One Production. “We are committed to supporting the next generation of filmmakers and providing them with a platform to showcase their works.”
The event will feature the premiere of several short films produced by Take One Productions, including “Onajite,” a story about an aspiring chef with dreams of opening his own restaurant, but is held back by his conservative father’s traditional views on gender roles.
The film was written by Joseph Efemena, directed by Abiodun Odu, and produced by Heavens Obule.
Another film to be screened at the event is “Ukulo Iyi,” which tells the story of Iyaji, an unemployed woman who turns to prostitution to provide for her siblings.
The film was written and directed by Abiodun Odu and produced by Heavens Obule, with co-production by Susan Echa.
Also to be screened is “A Moments Peace,” a film about Dubem and Nkem, a couple whose love is tested by poverty, leading to a series of chaotic events.
The film was written by Ayo Lasile, directed by Abiodun Odu, and produced by Heavens Obule and Tega Obahor.
The event will also feature the screening of films by other filmmakers, including “Naked Woman” written by Reberta Orioma and Vincho Nchogu, directed by Orire Nwani, and produced by Josh Olaolu.
Additionally, “Kill the Imposter” written by Emmanuel Chinedum, directed by Adeniyi Joseph and Produced by Josh Olalu will be screened.
“We believe that this event will not only provide entertainment for our guests but will also offer them an opportunity to appreciate the creativity and innovation of our young filmmakers,” said Obule.
