First Features Project has released the official trailer for Courage Obayuwana’s ‘Kill Boro,’ which delves into the intricacies of a troubled family. At its core, the story follows a young boy (Kosi Ogboruche) determined to rescue his mother from the clutches of domestic violence. Confronting his father’s abusive tendencies head-on, Ogboruche embarks on a journey to end his mother’s suffering.
‘Kill Boro’ is a shining testament to the success of the First Features Project, spearheaded by esteemed Nollywood filmmakers Steve Gukas and Dotun Olakunri.
Penned by Priye Diri, with additional contributions from Kester Nirim, Obayuwana’s first feature-length film explores themes of family dynamics, survival, and the enduring prospect of redemption.
Anchored by the compelling performance of newcomer Kosi Ogboruche as Elijah, the trailer offers a visceral portrayal of a child grappling with the weight of his circumstances: his father’s (Philip Asaya) relentless cruelty towards his mother, played by Ini Dima-Okojie. Fueled by desperation, Elijah seeks a solution from a notorious gang leader, portrayed by Greg Ojefua, in his quest to liberate his mother from the shackles of abuse.
