Shot in Ondo State Nigeria, Mikolo is a family adventure film which follows the story of two children whose visit to their grandma leads them to discover the Irumole forest where magical creatures live.
Drawn by a simple snack, one of the magical creature follows them home without their knowledge. This leads to an adventurous holiday for the children as the creature is captured by the village hunters and the children must save it and return it to the Irumole forest.
Their parents are forced to put aside their differences and work together in order to find their missing children.
