Owumi Ugbeye embarked on her creative journey back in 2013, stepping onto the stage as an actress in the inaugural Nigerian season of "MTV Shuga", a widely acclaimed series focusing on HIV & Sexual Health awareness. Over the years, she honed her craft through significant roles across television, web, and stage productions. In 2018, driven by her passion for storytelling, Owumi transitioned into professional writing, embracing a new avenue for her creativity.

While her focus shifted towards writing, Owumi's love for acting remains vibrant. She's not one to resist the allure of the stage or screen when the acting bug beckons. Owumi's writing endeavors have led her to diverse projects, including self-producing a feature film titled "No Longer Broken" for Netbrake Productions and crafting scripts for various shows such as "Love Swap" with Black Roots Productions and "Becoming The Turners" for BofMedia TV. She's also lent her talent to Africa Magic's "Covenant" and several upcoming projects awaiting release.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Languages, majoring in French, Owumi is not only fluent in English but also proficient in her native Itsekiri and conversant in Yoruba.
