Biography

Asurf Oluseyi is an award-winning filmmaker, who learn his trade watching YouTube videos and practicing with training manuals. He served as an inspiration to young Africans using the internet to learn skills and launch jobs in the Google African Connected Campaign, which was broadcast on CNN and ran throughout Africa, respectively. He has taught a large number of people the "Art of Filmaking and Editing" and has successfully built "Asurf Films," one of Nigeria's largest independent production companies. He has produced and directed hundreds of videos in the UK, the USA, and Nigeria. His work has been recognised with awards and has been on local and cable TV stations. He produced and directed the two short films A Day with Death, which received 10 international selections and won Best Short Film at the 2016 AMVCA, and Hell or High Water, which won Best Short Film at the 2016 IFAB International Film Awards in Berlin and received seven international selections. He was also a Best Screen Producer contender at the 2016 The Future Awards Africa. In addition to winning Best Nigerian Film 2017 at the African International Film Festival in 2017, his debut movie "HAKKUNDE" also received a merit award from The IndieFEST Film Awards in 2017.
