Isaac Ayomide Olayiwola, or Layiwasabi as he's widely known, was born on July 11th. He has earned fame as a remarkable skit maker and content creator. Layiwasabi's expertise lies in crafting amusing online comic videos, showcased across various social media platforms, especially on YouTube.
Originating from Osogbo in Osun State, Layiwasabi's upbringing was shared with his younger brother and mother. The absence of his father, who passed away when Layiwasabi was just two years old, meant that he was primarily raised by his mother and extended family members. Despite describing his childhood as "quiet" and "without adventure," he discovered his penchant for comedy thanks to his mother's own humorous nature.
His educational journey took him through primary and secondary schooling in Osogbo. Subsequently, he pursued higher education at Bowen University, attaining a bachelor's degree in law. Layiwasabi's early interactions with comedy took place during junior secondary school, where he gained recognition for bringing laughter to his classmates.
Layiwasabi's path into comedy intensified when he formed a drama group named The Emerald Star, which he led until his SS3 year. An unforgettable moment was their standout performance during a talent show – an experience that solidified his calling in comedy. He found a sense of authenticity and vitality while on stage and during rehearsals, affirming his destiny in the comedic world.
In his skit videos, Layiwasabi employs the Point of View (POV) technique, a common approach in online comedy. He ingeniously interweaves this technique with poignant depictions of prevalent social issues and the daily challenges faced by Nigerians. This fusion of humor and insight has garnered Layiwasabi acclaim, labeling him as one of Nigeria's premier Gen Z comedians.
