Biography

Chief Deji Aderemi initiated the Olofa Ina Theatre Group in 1972 alongside notable figures such as Erin folamin, Dasofunjo, Gbolagade Akinpelu, and the late Oyetunji of Esinnla.

Olofa Ina as he was known, was prominent in Yoruba theatre and film circles, producing notable television productions like Odetedo, Lakaaye, Kogun Maja, and Ade Oba.

The late actor, also called Baba Olowe, held the esteemed title of Sobaloju of Edeland until his passing.

Olofa Ina's educational journey began at St. Peters Anglican Primary School, followed by Baptist Secondary Modern School. He honed his skills in carpentry and joinery through vocational training at Olukorede Furniture Industry.

In parallel to his carpentry pursuits, he served as a Grade II Officer with the Ministry of Works and Transport in Ibadan, Oyo State, from 1970 to 1977. Subsequently, he assumed the role of Maintenance Officer at Daladson Hotel, Jericho Reservation, Idi-Isin, Ibadan, until 1980, when he retired to fully dedicate himself to Theatre Arts Practice.
